Reels are the easiest way to reach people who don’t know you yet, because Facebook and Instagram show them to non-followers too. The good news: an unpolished Reel filmed by the owner often does better than a professionally shot ad.
Before the ideas: 4 rules
- The first 3 seconds are everything: open with the result or a question, not your logo
- Film vertically (9:16) and in daylight
- Add on-screen text: many people watch with the sound off
- Keep it short: 15–30 seconds is enough for most ideas
1. “From start to finish”
A dish being cooked, a cake being decorated, a car before and after a wash. People love watching something being made, and they stay to see the result.
2. A question you get every day
“Does this medicine work for a cold?”, “What’s the difference between these two fabrics?” Pick a question you hear a lot and answer it in 20 seconds. You build trust and cut down on repeat questions at the same time.
3. A quick tour of the shop
A 15-second walk-through: the door, the shelves, your signature corner. New customers feel they know the place before they arrive.
4. Just arrived
“New in today…” with quick shots of the product. Simple, and it gives your followers a reason to stop by.
5. The faces behind the counter
Introduce the chef, the pharmacist, the technician. Ten seconds of “I’m Ahmed, and I’ve been doing this for 12 years…” goes a long way in a small community that likes dealing with people it knows.
6. A customer’s opinion (with permission)
A happy customer saying two sentences on camera is more convincing than anything you can say about yourself. Always ask for permission first.
