Facebook ads mistakes in Egypt do not all appear in the ad dashboard. A campaign may attract suitable interest while the price is unclear, replies are delayed or confirmed orders are later cancelled. Before changing the audience or increasing spend, follow the journey from the advertisement to the outcome your business needs.
This is a diagnostic guide for service companies, stores and other businesses. It differs from our restaurant-specific mistakes guide by examining objectives, measurement, economics and sales responsibilities across different activities. It does not invent a general Egyptian cost benchmark or claim that one change fixes every account.
Choosing an objective that does not match the outcome
If you want purchases, likes alone cannot demonstrate success. If you want service inquiries, a website visit is not proof that someone is ready to contract. Define the desired outcome, then choose an objective, destination and measurement approach connected to it.
Meta Blueprint’s campaign-objective training connects objectives with conversion locations and performance goals. Ask your campaign manager what the system is optimising for and what your business will count as success.
Content can support engagement and explanation within a wider plan. Keep that role distinguishable from an acquisition campaign so reports do not substitute one outcome for another.
Hiding the offer behind generic copy
“Best price” without a clear product, service or area may create conversations that need explaining from the beginning. Show what customers receive and which details affect the price. Put important conditions in the destination.
For a store, check size, colour, price, delivery and availability. For a service, explain the scope and information needed for a quote. You need not publish a fixed price where none exists, but the customer should understand why you need more details and what follows.
Test copy that addresses a real objection from your inquiries. Effective creative explains the offer rather than simply making the design more noticeable.
Sending customers to the wrong destination
A product ad leading to a generic homepage, or a branch ad leading to another branch’s menu, introduces unnecessary work. Open the link on a phone, read it as a new visitor and try the order route. Where relevant, check it within the app’s browser too.
For WhatsApp, check the number, message and reply owner. For a form, test completion and delivery with test details. For a product page, check variants, shipping and payment.
Our paid ads management service can include reviewing the journey within an agreed scope. Website or ordering-system repairs still need explicit responsibility; do not assume they are included in campaign management.
Counting conversions that do not represent the result
A button may trigger twice, an opened form may be counted as a completed inquiry, or a purchase may carry the wrong value. Installing tracking does not establish that the data is usable.
Test the event you rely on and understand when it fires and what value it carries. Separate a contact click, started conversation, appropriate inquiry and order. For a store, match results with records, cancellations and returns.
Avoid adding sales attributed by several platforms as though they were independent orders. Explain the metric in the report: “conversions” becomes useful when the owner knows what actually happened.
Treating all messages as equal
Define a qualified inquiry with reception: the service is available, the area fits, the need is understandable and follow-up is possible. Record outcomes simply, using only the customer information necessary for the work.
| Conversation state | What to record | What it helps reveal |
|---|---|---|
| Outside coverage | Requested area | Targeting or message clarity |
| Missing essential information | What is needed | Reception and explanation quality |
| Appropriate inquiry | Service and next step | Cost of a real opportunity |
| Unaccepted quote | Known reason | Price, scope or timing |
| Completed order | Fulfilment result | Acquisition economics |
A price question does not prove that someone is unsuitable. They may be asking for information the page omitted. Use conversation reasons to improve the offer, replies and content while respecting privacy.
Changing everything at once
Changing audience, video, offer, page and budget together makes causes difficult to identify. State one hypothesis, the proposed change and the outcome you will review.
For example, clearer delivery coverage may reduce inquiries from unserviceable areas. Test that proposition without rebuilding everything unless another problem requires it. Avoid spreading spend across more tests than your team can monitor.
Distinguish an immediate stop for a broken checkout or unavailable product from an optimisation decision needing evidence. Do not react to every daily fluctuation with another edit.
Ignoring margins and complete costs
Sales are not profit. Subtract product, packaging, payment fees, shipping, discounts and other variable costs, then review spend, management and allocated production. For services, consider the costs of delivering the contract rather than using its total value alone.
A product with many orders but a weak margin may require a different offer or product selection. Increasing spend does not resolve that economic problem.
If your order process includes later confirmation or fulfilment, separate these stages in the review. A recorded order should not automatically be treated as collected revenue. This is particularly relevant when your business offers payment on delivery, but it should be assessed from your actual records rather than a market-wide assumption.
Use a practical checking order
Start with obvious failures: links, payment, stock and inquiry delivery. Then inspect tracking, objective alignment, conversation quality, destination, creative and offer economics. This prevents more spending on a broken route.
| Main symptom | First check |
|---|---|
| Traffic with no contact | Mobile destination and required information |
| Many unsuitable messages | Coverage, offer clarity and qualification |
| Suitable inquiries without contracts | Replies, pricing and timing |
| Orders without useful contribution | Fulfilment outcomes and variable costs |
Ask for a report explaining the likely cause, evidence and proposed change. If evidence is missing, state what will be collected and which decision it will inform. A list of dashboard metrics is not a diagnosis.
Prepare for a campaign review
Provide the business type, city, destination link, current objective and general examples of why orders are lost. Avoid supplying unnecessary customer information. Keep ownership of the account and grant appropriate access when review work starts.
